In the last few years I've spoken to around 60 people
allowed, the very unique ways of life in spite of and precisely because of
have their Parkinson's disease. These talks have since
changed my life and just helped me learn more about it
to learn about the disease but above all to be more optimistic about it
to look at the future.

Frank Elstner has also been suffering from Parkinson's for several years
but has his positive attitude and optimism
he not lost. We talked about many topics, like
Self-help, sport and family. I am very happy that I
can share our conversation with you. I wish you a lot of fun
while listening!

Podcast “Now more than ever – living positively with Parkinson’s”.

50 - that's a huge number. I am all the happier
that my podcast is heard and shared a lot because it is me
a big concern in my podcast stories from people too
tell who manage to live positively with Parkinson's or
support relatives.

I still have contact with many of my guests after the interview

move on. Episode #50 is therefore a special
Sequel in which I tell the stories of three women
who I have already interviewed in my podcast.

If you've been following my interviews for a while, you know

got to know Germany personally. Who the consequence of the
PingPongParkinson German Open last year, who could
recognize her voice. I found Margie so exciting and
positive that I really wanted to invite her again.

Since Margie is from near New York City, she speaks
English, of course, and that's why I have the interview in English
language guided. So I can definitely give you that

Episode 43 of my favorite podcast is very special to me. Because today I am the center of attention. Kathrin Wersing asked me about my life before and after the Parkinson's diagnosis, how I came to my blog Parkinson-Journal and above all she took the opportunity to present our joint project AktivZeit. But more on that in the interview.

Today I am happy about a new episode in the still fresh year 2022. I have Frank Michler as a guest, who has long had a name and a face in the Parkinson's scene.

I became aware of Frank through an interesting TV report, because he has undergone a new treatment method with focused ultrasound and reports on his experiences with it in this episode. I also talk to Frank about his diverse activities in self-help and in educating about Parkinson's.

I wish you a lot of fun and many new insights.

Welcome to the 40th podcast episode, for which I have come up with something special. Looking back at my interview guests with the many impressive life stories, I tried to find out whether there are similarities, thoughts that keep coming up and that can help us all to live better with the disease.

And in fact, I found 10 things that, in my opinion, bind most of my guests together.

I wish you a lot of fun and new knowledge while listening!

At the end of each episode, I ask each guest what he or she wants to give to the people who are listening.

There are wonderful answers - thoughtful, happy, in any case always encouraging and with a lot of confidence. And we need confidence not only at Christmas. And so I like to travel again with you through the year 2021 with my wonderful podcast guests.

Today I meet the last interview guest this year 2021 and that is Thorsten Heyer. Some may also know him from his Instagram account “Pacman im Kopf”, where he regularly talks about his life with Parkinson’s.

I got to know Thorsten there and we hit it off right away. Thorsten works as an event manager and helps his customers to realize their dreams.

But in his private life, too, since his Parkinson's diagnosis, he has been looking for his own dreams and wishes, which he no longer wants to postpone.

We'll talk about that in this episode.

And what the crazy title, which by the way is to be taken literally, “Come what WOOL, we CAN DO it!” Has to do with it, you will definitely find out. I hope you enjoy listening.

On this episode, I have a guest woman who is an old hand with a Parkinson's diagnosis. Some even refer to her as the grande dame of the Parkinson's scene and in fact Gisela Steinert or Gisi, as everyone calls her, has already been involved in many projects.

Gisi doesn't mind talk, she prefers to lend a hand and has been doing so for almost 30 years despite and with the diagnosis of Parkinson's.

Look forward to an interview with a remarkable woman.

30 min

Dr. Uwe Radelof, who I have my guest on today in the podcast, is actually a visionary. The diagnosis of Parkinson's 13 years ago changed his life radically.

And although he has already crossed several valleys with his illness, one thing distinguishes him: he has never given up.

And he has a big vision, he wants to cure Parkinson's. That's why he created the "Parkinson Terminator Project". Today's episode is about this project and Uwe's story.

Get inspired!

37 min

In this episode I have Silvia Lerch from Switzerland in the podcast - a real power woman. Silvia had a real adventure two years ago - despite Parkinson's.

In Lapland she fulfilled a great dream and drove - accompanied by Swiss television - in a dog sled for a week through snow and ice.

In addition, Silvia has been successfully leading a self-help group in Switzerland for many years.

We also talk about her upcoming operation for deep brain stimulation, about the opportunities and risks and about Silvia's own helpful strategies in dealing with her own fear

Look forward to a very rich interview with Silvia - a lot Fun!

I recently had a really great conversation with Sophia Plöchl. She comes from Austria and she is a woman with a wide range of interests and talents.

Today's episode is about a variety of topics, such as photography or book writing. But we also talk about depression - as an often underestimated symptom of the disease and we share our own experiences and ways we found our way back to life.

Another focus of this episode is how valuable it can be to look for and find new fields of activity in our lives. So I wish you a lot of fun with Sophia and our joint interview.

36 min

Franz Spanke comes from Rheine in the Münsterland. He has many talents, including poetry writing and his inventions.

Although Franz has been diagnosed with Parkinson's for over 35 years, he has retained an enviable ability: he is never bored.

I promise you, you won't be bored with this interview either, your imagination will be more in demand.

So look forward to a great interview.

Birgit fell ill with Parkinson's at the age of 35. she was just became a mother and her life changed abruptly. But Birgit has found her way and that is impressive.

Welcome to my Podcast and to this special English episode. in my podcast I want to share positive stories about life with Parkinson's Disease and so I talk to many inspiring people with exciting life stories who manage to enjoy their lives - despite Parkinson's.

Usually this podcast is in German language but today there is a special episode for my English speaking friends who I had the pleasure to meet at the PngPongParkinson German Open in Nordhorn in early September this year.

People from 12 nations took part the tournament and despite Parkinson's, they were fantastic table tennis players and spread a lot of passion, joy and enthusiasm.

This episode is about PingPong Parkinson - a worldwide movement that offers table tennis for people with Parkinson's disease. Playing table tennis can help improve symptoms and slow down progression. But most of all - it's fun!

So, join me and meet some great people from all over the world who share the same dream - they all love to play table tennis.

Believe me, after listening to this episode you will want to play table tennis too. Here are some links to find a group in your country (I would be delighted to add more countries - please get in touch when you have further information)
