We want to raise awareness of exercise as one of the few non-drug therapies.

It is estimated that in Germany around 10% of Parkinson's patients are organized in self-help groups or at least use their offers occasionally.

That is 40.000 out of 400.000 patients.

It is one of our goals to permanently and steadily increase the number of people who use the self-help groups. The exchange with "fellow sufferers", the rich range of information, the newly formed friendships, sports that you suddenly (re)discover for yourself, the self-imposed isolation that you leave ... all these are good reasons to join one of the numerous self-help groups. That's why we're expanding our range of information to include reports from the community of so-called SHG's and that's why we have a directory of Parkinson'ssupport groups and Parkinson's Event Calendarr developed.

For everyone else who is not yet ready to open up, we want to continue to be a window into the Parkinson's world of which they have become a resident through no fault of their own, informing them with respect and with heart and mind.

The second goal, which is very important to us, is to raise awareness of exercise as one of the few non-drug therapies. In order to achieve this, we will increasingly provide editorial support for self-help group events that pursue the same goal. This is supported by a nationwide mobility calendar and a “press box”, which, as a digital PR department, informs the media about upcoming events.

Fortunately, as a "desk worker" our financial needs are small, especially measured in terms of the number of people reached. Nevertheless, we have a budget that is essentially determined by IT infrastructure, image and sound technology, acquisition of rights and research costs, travel, accounting and annual financial statement costs.
